So this is really bugging me. . . . .

YES. It's INVISALIGN! So about 3 years ago, my teeth were really really bad, and of course i needed braces. I had a huge overbite and spaces between my teeth. I had my heart set out on the invisible braces, because like every other teen in America, i did not want train tracks on my teeth. So the dentist showed me what would Invisalign look like and what would it do. Of course i was interested, but my mom wasn't. They were $5000 or so, and the insurances covered like $2000, so that meant she had to pay out of her pocket. YIKES !

-how does it work?

Invisalign is clear trays that are placed on your teeth that push your teeth back like ordinary braces would. It kinda interested me because they're just plastic. They are easy to clean because they are removable, and they are disposable. After every 9 days, you put a new one on, which means more pain! Then at the end of the month, you go back to the dentist and receive 3 more Aligners. (aka trays.) Don't get me wrong, yes they are clear but they leave your teeth sooo soar.

After 2 years of so, i finished my braces. They improved my teeth alot, but i felt like there was still work to do. I still had spaces in them and whenever i asked my dentist he said "They were for my wisdom teeth" -__- i mean i just felt like they should have been perfect! Anyway after wearing my retainers, they slowly cracked. They retainers are just like the invisalign aligners, except with no pressure. I was confused with what they had to do, because i knew after time plastic expands.

-Would i recommend it?
NOOOO! just because a product is said to work faster, doesn't mean it works better. My retainer cracked and i had to pay for another one, and my teeth are slowly shifting back how they were. Its like they were a waste of time and it upsets me that soo much money was invested in this and it was just a flop. Not to mention my dentist was an asshole. So if you guys need braces, i know they arent as fashionable, but i recommend the old fashioned ones. Just a few more steps away from that beautiful smile you always desired.
